meet hannah jane + joseph
Classic Catholic meets southern charm would be our synthesis of Hannah Jane and Joseph's wedding day on July 11, 2026. These two have such a heart for Jesus and their people, which was evident in every part of their day. Each detail was intentionally planned and thought out and elevated one's thoughts toward heaven—which was the whole focus of their wedding day! It was such an honor to capture these two on one of the most important and grace-filled days of their lives. Enjoy reading about it below!
PREP TIME
Hannah Jane and Joseph both got ready at the gorgeous Azaleana Manor in Orange Park. The groom got ready with his groomsmen and then wanted to take some fun shots in the library (which we thought turned out very Vogue). The bride had a few first looks with her dad and her bridesmaids before having some portraits in the library as well. The couple also opted to pray together before their Nuptial Mass, so the library became the perfect backdrop for their first touch before they headed to the church! It was a beautiful morning all around.
NUPTIAL MASS
Reverent. Grand. Elegant. Intentional. Heartfelt. Hannah Jane and Joseph's Nuptial Mass was everything we could hope for in a Catholic wedding. The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception was the perfect location for their vows—the beauty of the Basilica cannot help but raise one's thoughts to God. Our absolute favorite part of their Mass was when they had ten minutes of Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament before the final blessing so they could worship Jesus as a married couple with all of their closest family and friends. We had never witnessed this before at a wedding and it's now our new favorite thing!!
COUPLE PORTRAITS
After their Nuptial Mass, we spent about 30 minutes taking family portraits in the Church and then had several different portrait session times with the couple to maximize the variety in their gallery. First, we spent 15 minutes or so taking some photos in the Church and a few outside. We absolutely loved how the light was shining through the stained glass in the church! When we got to Azaleana Manor, there was a huge storm about to hit, so we took about 10 minutes of couple portraits before taking full bridal party photos. Lastly, while it rained all through the beginning of the reception, the stormed cleared just in time to step out for some photos by the water around sunset time. We loved how these turned out—They weren't your typical golden hour photos, but they gave us some rainy day nostalgic vibes. And of course, we had to snag a few photos in the gorgeous library inside as well. Having three different portrait times that were short allowed us to optimize time in with their photo timeline and kept couple portraits from being too monotonous.
BRIDAL PARTY
The bridal party photos on Hannah Jane + Joseph's day were the fastest we've probably ever captured a bridal party. As we pulled into Azaleana Manor after leaving the church, there was a massive summer thunderstorm about to hit. We quickly took a few couple portraits and then cranked out full bridal party, bridesmaids, and groomsmen photos in about 10 minutes. While we didn't have the ability to capture extensive bridal party photos, we were able to get all of the classic shots that the couple wanted before running inside (literally) as lightening struck around us. Definitely the wildest time we've had with a bridal party!
thE PARTY!
While the thunderstorms forced some of the formalities of the reception inside, Hannah Jane and Joseph didn't let that stop them from having a great time with their guests. The first dances were sweet, the speeches were heartfelt (and hilarious), and the dance floor was packed and going all night (as it should be!). Fun fact: Their DJ was one of our favorites that we've worked with! Since they got married on July 11, Hannah Jane and Joseph ordered a bunch of 7/11 hats that they distributed on the dance floor—a thoughtful and fun little surprise. While they didn't get to have their first dance on the black and white checkered dance floor outside, they were able to have their LAST dance out there, which was so sweet before their send off. We thoroughly enjoyed their reception and had a blast alongside all of the guests!
